The off season program consists of Phase 1 - Structural Balance Phase 2 - Accumulation and Hypertrophy Phase 3 - Intensification and Strength Phase 4 - Power and Plyometrics
The Gladiator Strength & Conditioning programincorporates expertise in workout design, nutrition, healthy lifestyle, injury prevention and recovery all to create a stronger, faster, healthier, and more efficient athlete.We have modelled the Coliseum s equipment based on what the top NHL strength coaches have in their establishments. Using the best from top NHL strength coaches we have put together a hockey program that has put all of those who train with us at the top of their teams strength tests and translated to better play on the ice.
With over 30 yrs of strength training experience from each major sport , we are capable of training more than hockey players. Proper form and technique will always be the most important aspect of training. We will make sure each athletes is performing the lifts properly with the appropriate amount of weight.
The athlete with the proper guidance will be pushed to their max and will make dramatic gains in strength , speed , agility, explosiveness and size.
The program consists of the following lifts and training methods: Power lifts : Squats , Deadlifts , Bench Press etc.. Olympic Lifts Plyometric exercises Box jumps , Battle ropes , prowler, Kettle bells
Hockey off season training begins April 1st and ends September 1st.
