Gladiator Fit (HIIT)
This program is for adults of all ages . This is an 8-9 station circuit with strong emphasis on the body's core muscle group that keeps you moving for an intense 60 minute session. Gladiator Fit is a weight and conditioning program that will help get you in the best shape of your life.
Our approach is organized to assist new Gladiators by ensuring proper posture and form is learned first. You can expect support and camaraderie from the experienced Gladiators s you work at your own pace and to your own skill level. Whether you are trying to lose weight , gain muscle tone or train for an athletic pursuit your effort will be rewarded as you improve with every session.
Gladiator Fit uses the muscle and strength development of weight training combined with the stamina building and body conditioning of aerobic drills for a great workout routine. By constantly introducing new and different exercises in each session your workout will induce muscle confusion to help prevent training plateaus and more importantly boredom. HIIT is all the hype lately. According to a survey conducted by The American College of Sports Medicine, it’s one of the two top fitness trends for 2014 (the other being bodyweight training). So what’s this type of training all about? What is it with HIIT?
HIIT, or high-intensity interval training, is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time. “A high-intensity workout increases the body’s need for oxygen during the effort and creates an oxygen shortage, causing your body to ask for more oxygen during recovery, “This afterburn effect is referred to as Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) and is the reason why intense exercise will help burn more fat and calories than regular aerobic and steady-state workouts.”
Gladiator Strength Training
This program is for adults of all ages as well. Whether you are trying to lose weight , gain muscle tone or train for an athletic pursuit your effort will be rewarded. This is a 3-5 set muscle group focused set of weight training exercises for an intense 60 minute workout. Gladiator Strength is a weight training program that will help you get in the best shape of your life.
Weight training is not about bulking up to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger, it is a muscle balancing , injury recover/prevention and posture retraining program that will make you stronger , your bones stronger your joints stronger and your heart stronger. Our approach is to always make sure the new Gladiator has proper posture and form . You can expect support and camaraderie from the experienced Gladiators as you work to your own skill level and improve with every session.
You will learn all lifts including Olympic lifts , sleds, tire flips , ropes strongman/women type training .
